the Albert Hall [the Albert Hall] (also the Royal Albert Hall)
a large round concert hall in west London, England, which holds 8 000 people. It was built in 1868–71 in memory of Prince Albert. Various musical and sporting events take place in it, but it is best known as the concert hall where the ↑Proms are held.
